Ingredients : Boiled Large potatoes – 2 nos

                     Onion – 4 nos

                     Garlic – 20 nos

                     Ginger – 2 tblsp

                     Green Chillies – 10 nos

                     Salt - 1 tsp

                     Mustard seeds – ½ tsp

                     Turmeric pd – 1 tsp

                     Coriander leaves – 1/2 cup

                     Oil – for frying

For Covering : Besan – 2 cups

                      Turmeric pd – 1 tsp

                      Soda – a pinch


Method : Mash the Boiled potatoes in a large bowl and keep aside.

In a chopper add the Onion,garlic,Ginger, Green Chillies and finely chop it. Keep it aside

Take a pan add oil and Mustard seeds ..let it flutter then add the finely chopped Onion mixture. Add Turmeric pd, salt and mix well and fry it till the raw smell goes and onion ….reduce in quantity. Switch off the flame and add this mixture to the Mashed potato mixture. Add coriander leaves and mix well . Make lemon size balls of this mixture and flatten it as shown in photo. Arrange all in a plate as this makes easy for frying them

Covering : Mix besan, salt , Turmeric pd, soda and water to make a dosa consistency batter.

Keep oil for frying . Dip each of the potato balls in besan batter and fry them in oil till golden brown. Serve hot with Garlic chutney…..!!!
